Einzigartig dürfte
die auf engstem Raum anzutreffende Vielfalt der Gesteinsarten sein. Neben
den allgegenwärtigen mächtig überhängenden Nagelfluh-Wänden
und Blöcken trifft man hier interessanterweise auch auf Sandstein, Dolomit,
Mergel sowie Kalk in den verschiedensten Formen: vom gewöhnlichen Kalk bis
zu super rauem Hochgebirgskalk auf ca. 2200 m Meereshöhe ist hier
alles geboten.
Man findet Wände,
Blöcke, durchnummerierte Parcours wie in Fontainebleau, Henkel, Mikroleisten,
Platten, gewaltige Überhänge, kurzum ein reichhaltiges Angebot
für alle Liebhaber der Welt der kleinen Blöcke und solche, die
es noch werden wollen.
Und - nicht zu vergessen
- das Ganze in einer der schönsten Urlaubsregionen!

Neu in der 4. Auflage: 64 Seiten mehr als in der vorigen Auflage: 380 neue Boulderprobleme! 1 neues Gebiet!
Das Blockfeld in Hinterstein bietet mittlerweile über 870 gekletterte (!) Boulderprobleme, damit ist das Gebiet eines der boulderreichsten Blockfelder des nördlichen Alpenraums. Die meisten Blöcke bestehen aus Dolomit, die Kletterei erinnert an einen Mix aus Sandstein und Gneis. Auch an den Kraftbouldern sind über 100 neue Probleme entstanden, so dass dieses nun mit über 160 Linien bis 8b+ das zweitgrößte Allgäuer Bouldergebiet ist. Erstmals beschrieben ist das Gunzesrieder Tal mit derzeit 2 Sektoren.
Neu ist auch die Angabe von Zustiegszeiten zu allen Gebieten im Infobalken am Gebietsanfang.

in 26 areas from the lake constance to Oberallgäu, the region around Füssen to the Lech-valley - a bouldering
region of high interest for boulderers of all grades!
Almost unique is the difference
of the type of rock you can find here close together. Apart of the dominating
conglomerate-walls and -boulders you can also find sandstone, dolomite, marl and limestone
in different variations - from ordinary limestone to super rough high-mountain-limestone
on 2200 m above sea level.
You can find walls, boulders,
circuits with numbers like in Fontainebleau, jugs, micro-edges, slabs,
enormous overhangs.... in short a complete playground for all amateurs
of bouldering and these who want to get into this fascinating sport.
And not to forget - all
these in one of the most beautiful holiday-regions of Germany!

New in the 4th edition: 64 pages more compared to the previous edition: 380 new problems! 1 new area!
The boulder field in Hinterstein offers now more than 870 problems (and all done!) and is one of the biggest in the northern Alps. The rock type of most boulders there is dolomite, the climbing is like a mix of sandstone and gneiss. Also at the Kraftboulder have been done more than 100 new problems, therefore the area is now the number two in the Allgäu with more than 160 lines up to 8b+. For the first time the valley of Gunzesried is described with currently 2 sectors.
New is also the indication of access times to all areas in the info-bar at the starting pages of the area.
